We needed to head back to Hong Kong as this was where one of our flights from the RTW ticket departed from. Wendy also had to go back to sort a few things out. It was nice to be back to see some familiar faces.

We’ve been to HK many times, so we did NO touristy things. We literally just ate our way around the island! It was also raining the whole time, so options were limited.

Lego

The best thing about HK was that my passport finally arrived!Wahey! Hopefully, this means I can collect stamps from each Lego shop that I visit. We also managed to stumble on a soft launch for the lego mosaic face maker. You take your photo (3 attempts) in their special photo booth, then it prints out your face and you can build it at home. It’s not the cheapest (HKD$1300) but it’s sooooooo worth it! We even managed to see a TVB actor who was part of the soft launch. This was also a great way to keep Wendy occupied (and silent) for a few hours; much to Mike’s delight.

Best Western Grand Hotel

We stayed at the Best Western in Jordan. It’s a great location, about a 15-minute walk from TST harbour, 5 minutes from the MTR and it’s surrounded by great eats. The rooms are TINY though, but this is quite standard for HK.
